ArrowEditIt keeps AI controls simple so you can edit text without leaving the editor.
1. Open or type text
Start with your text in the editor. You can type directly, open an existing file, or extract text from DOCX or PDF files.
2. Enter an AI command
Use the AI command box to describe what you want, such as rewrite, shorten, improve grammar, summarize, translate, or clean formatting. Select the text you want to modify before sending the command. If no text is selected, the AI output will be inserted at the current cursor position.
3. Send to AI
Click Send to AI to generate a suggested change. ArrowEditIt shows the proposed output inside the editing workflow instead of forcing you to switch to another tool.
4. Review and decide
Use Accept to apply the AI suggestion or Reject to keep your original text. This gives you full control over what changes are made.
5. Ask again if needed
If the result is not right, refine your instruction and try again. Short, specific prompts usually give better editing results.
6. Connect your AI provider
Configure your preferred AI provider in Settings:
- Select provider (OpenAI, Google, DeepSeek, Anthropic, Ollama)
- Enter API key
- Provide endpoint URL (if custom or self-hosted)
- Set parameters like timeout, token limit, and temperature
- Click Test connection to verify setup
Once configured, AI features will be available inside the editor.
